Competition also has a way of increasing their price, even on an exactly un-new vehicle, when their competition does. Like the current Silverado, base price in 2009 was $19,375. In 2013 the base...

Then it's probably not for your truck. Most recalls are usually for a small number of vehicles in a particular year. Sometimes it may be as small as only a few hundred built during a short time...

Riiiiiight. I guess that when GM started using VVT over a decade ago, the tremendous HP increase, and the MPG increase they got from that isn't effective at all. You're just in denial. Sorry.

I think the latest Road & Track article on the LS1 V8 states it well on push rod engines.
"Pushrods were once decried as ancient, and proof that US car companies just don't get it. But for a...

So what if they are "long in the tooth", that arguement is not a good one. Cars and trucks in general have been around for centuries, does that make them "long in the tooth" too? ...

Tell me about it! I have a sister who is a die hard Toyota fan. My father prefers to work on vehicles, so I'm often dragged into repairing her P.O.S. cars! They are the worst IMHO right...

You'd think they are maxed, but there still seems to be a lot of technology up GM's sleves these days...

It'll be real interesting what they get out of the new 4.3L in the just announced 2014 trucks. Some expect at least 315 HP and 25 MPG. Hopefully we'll see the real numbers soon.
Haven't had the need for it yet on my 2011 LTZ. This is the first one I've had with the "auto" setting and use that a lot. These V8s are so torquey now, I haven't needed it. Used low a few times...
I'm lucky that I live in an area where salt is not as much of a problem. But, I still undercoat my own trucks right after I buy them. I had a friend who had his dealership undercoat his new truck...
The door seal squeaking issue is an age old issue with many vehicles from the past. Baby oil around the seal has been one of the biggest solutions, but your silicon spray may work better. You just...

Toyota won the highest number of recalls in total last year. I think it was over 1.5 million.

I think GM hit it good on this redesign. I love the dash layout, and the electronics update is WAY overdue. The 0.5" wider tires will make the truck look awesome running down the road, and give...
I hate it when my dipstick breaks...
There has been a rattle in the dash area of my 2011 Silverado. I wonder if that is what it is? Anyway, going in for a oil change next week. We'll find...

Heck, if the 4.5 would have been available on my 2011 purchase that's the truck I'd bought. I'm sure it would have been more $$, and I can see that if pricing were an issue that would bring pause to...

Heck, even that much talked about 4.5L diesel would be a welcome addition to the real original SUV! Hey GM! Listen up!

The thing I don't understand is why folks pick higher color temps. The human eye works best at temps close to the sun's own color, after all that's as natural as you can get. 10,000K temps just...

OK, after months of trying find out what this problem is and how to fix it I now at least know what the problem is. Unfortuantely no fix from GM yet.
I have found that GM has decided to lean the...

I think, and truly hope they will stay. My father drove a '72 Suburban, the truck I learned how to drive in. This was by all accounts a very "utility" vehicle.
My last purchase, a 2011 Silverado...

But what if the issue was with GM Customer Service? My dealership had this correct, and is still willing to work on it. GM Customer Service would not listen to them, or me, made up their own mind,...

Most aftermarket shops do it externally in a new fuse holder setup. I'd go that route.
