1996 C3500 2WD, ~216,000 miles. Had trouble with running and starting - engine would "hiccup" while running, sometimes... and got to the point where it wouldn't start easily. If I managed to get it...
Look for kr_services out of Wisconsin. Guy's name is Fred Kevek. I had a good experience with him.

I'm looking into buying a 1999 Tahoe and the guy says the steering gearbox needs to be replaced because the Tahoe tends to pull to the right while driving (more so than would be expected on a normal...
It'd seem easier to remove a bench and install buckets. I'd think that the bucket seats, being smaller, would install easier. Plus, wouldn't a split bench need some type of sub-frame underneath it...
One would think that that is a good bit easier to do, though...?

Yeah, I've had mine for four years, about 60,000 miles... and it's still "like a rock". 207,000 miles, still runs like a champ. Of course, it helps that the engine only has 132,000 miles... :-)

I'm looking for a Tahoe / Yukon / Suburban.... today I test-drove a 1999 Tahoe with a 60/40 split bench with fold-up armrest and that's the seat I must have. Only trouble is, it's nigh unto...
RomaniGypsy, central Texas, 1996 C3500 diesel, automatic, crew cab, long bed, 2WD, single rear wheel. Love that truck!
