Hello all. I changed the oil on my 2004 Tahoe and the oil monitor guage did not reset. Is there something I need to do? I thought it reset itself when you changed the old oil out.

That is a good product. I have used it on my Tahoe and Durango. I use Kreen now. Got rid of my ticking over a year ago and it has not returned. I use Pennzoil Platinum now.

Have you resolved the issue? I never saw that. I am not here a lot lately. Too much work to do.

Sounds like a short somewhere to me. You should have it checked by a competent mechanic or the dealer. Electrical problems can be a bear. Could even be a loose ground wire.

The ticking still has not come back on mine after all this time. How has your luck been trying to get rid of your's OP? Kreen and synthetic oil worked for me!

Stats:

2004 Tahoe, 5.3 litre Vortex engine, 123,000 miles.

I have been hearing a valve tick lately coming from the drivers side...

It is the 2004 tahoe with the 5.3 Vortec engine. I have no pic's of it. Anyone with one please chime in. I am going to take a look at the single hose. I do believe it is the right one.
