I was impressed with 5.7, 160,000 on it ran and started everytime, never a single problem, I hope te 4.3 follows suite

Hey ray it's just a single belt, I'm missing my old truck a little it had the 5.7 vortec and I downgraded to a 4.3 vortec, had a 97 silverado

I let my truck warm up for about 6 mins and the chirping had gone away, I did tighten up the tensioner, alternator seems to be good to go, about 1/4 inch slack, does anyone else have this happen...

It's a new belt and I don't see any type if fluid or condensation, I'm gonna pull the idler and see if that helps. Seems to be intermittent more than constant.
