I have been using Quaker State High Milage (conventional) oil in my truck since it hit 75,000 miles. It is now at 145,000 and no problems.

since 2000 I have used mobil 1 In my 2000 silverado 5.3L. change oil every 8,ooomi. filter [pure one purolator/ or wix] every 4,ooomi. so far no leaks or problems. runs better now than new than with that dino reg oil for sure.

ON leaks. as these vehicles age you may get some small leaks. replacing the PCV every 30,ooomi helps .

But lets say you do have some leaks. I have used in other vehicles bars oil stop leak. just using 3 OZ. I have successfully stopped leak in my 1996 impala[rear main] and on a 2005 toyota avalon 3.5L engine. rubber seals do shrink with age . on the avalon it would be a very big job to replace those seals[ remove engine] !

Synthetic is the best thing you can do for your engine.
