Default Xenon Fender Flares M/N 8490

I bought these fender flares for my 2001 Silverado so that I can do some minor work to the rust over the wheel well, and then hide it quite easily.
They came just as they did from the factory, matte black raw polyurethane.
Does anyone have any advice on how to paint these? How paintable are they?
They are quite flexible so I am a little bit concerned about stretching paint and it possibly cracking.
Has anyone purchased these flares before and how do they feel about them?
They were a good deal, I got them from a clearance sale at an accessories store for $200 and they MSRP at $429
Here is a link to them on the Xenen website if anyone is curious about how they look.

Should I just bite the bullet and get them painted at an autobody shop?
Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

I actually think they look pretty good and have a classy look. I'm sure they'll take paint just fine, especially after looking at the photos on their website. I had similar ones on my former white truck and just left them black. It actually ended up looking pretty good but I also had all black accents (push/brush guard, mirrors, etc.); however, I think with your style truck, they'd look better painted, but you may want to put one or two on just to see.

If you do paint, unless you have the right equipment and the know-how, I'd recommend taking them to someplace and having them done. It will take away from your truck and the classy look of those flares if the paint job is shoddy.
