    Default 03 avalanch put it on scanner because 3rd and 4th r missing when going down the road

    drained tranny pan and changed tranny filter, it looked like alot of metal
    03 avalanch put it on scanner because 3rd and 4th r missing when going down the road it wont engage unless you get the truck up to high revs and high speed {feels like slipping}

    it comes up with mass airflow sensor codes
    on a genisys otc scanner
    1 of the of the fast trac repair fix statements on genisys scanner , says the mass airflow sensor could make it slip in 3rd and 4th because its not getting the engine revs
    {motor will peak with pedal held down}

    any suggestions besides bringing to the shop {i work on vehicles}
    all fuse`s seemed to be good ,the 1`s that have power with key on

    I think they are completely separate issues, especially as you have metal in the tranny drain. The tranny problems could be tricking the PCM into thinking there is a problem with the MAF

    However, go ahead and fix the MAF and see if that cures the tranny problem.
