    Default 4.3 intake question

Hey guys, I have an 09 reg cab v6 and been wanting to get rid the weird box thing that mounts to the front side of my intake. Is it necessary or what can I do to remove it?

Your signature says that you have a Gm performance parts CAI. Are you talking about the box around the air filter? I am not familiar with the model you have. Can you take a picture of the box that you are referring to?

Its the box thing that is attached to my intake right above the throttle body with a small tube connecting to the passenger side valve cover. Here is the pic http://www.gmtruckclub.com/forum/alb...#axzz284hUSVWy

I have the GM Performance cold air box with cone filter and I want to replace the rest of my intake but I'm not sure if this extra part is necessary.

Due to your low post count, our anti-spamming device hid your post with link to your pic. All should be able to see it now.
