Got the new bearings, installed them. Now the truck is back up and running. Got a new question though...steering feels loose now, I replaced outer tie rods a couple years ago, got the alignment done, and haven't touched it (except for driving when everything went downhill. Any suggestions on what to look at today?

with one front wheel off the ground move the wheel in /out to observe any steering joint movement.

when greasing these joints look for rust and water to come out / seals broken this would indicate a wear issue.

the idler arm moves up/down more than 1/8 in then the arm is too worn.

It is possible the toe alignment is not correct. if the wheels are not adjusted to be in slightly the vehicle will have a wandering effect. too much toe in will cause the outer edge of the tires to wear more than the rest of the tire.
