I could use some help here. I have a 1990 Chevy truck with a 4.3, one day a few weeks ago the truck just quit and never would restart. I replaced the the distributor module and pick-up coil. Installed new plugs and reset the timing to 0 degrees. I know that the tan and black wire has to be disconnected to set the timing. When I re-connect the wire the truck won't stay running and starts back-firing at upper rpm... The truck has an Edelbrock PROM chip installed as well, it was free with the Edelbrock intake and cam. I've reset the timing and checked my entire ignition system. This is my only transportation and I need to get this truck going... what do ya think????
