Thread: Abs fail!

I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum but here's my Question. I have a 2007 Colorado 4x4 Z71. Can the ABS fail for a minute and not throw a code. I was on the highway and a truck cut me off, so I hit the brakes hard and 1 rear wheel started to skid and turn me sideways. I let off and steered into it like the old days before ABS. I wasn't ready for that anymore. And it didn't throw a code. What is up with that. Shouldn't it have thrown a code? If 1 rear wheel locks up and the other doesn't, it's not fun. Any help would be appreciated.JBT 2007 Colorado Z71 3LT, Chevy chrome grille, A.R.E. cap, Bed Rug, Firestone Destination A/T tires

I thought ABS was front wheels only. At least my truck is. If yours is too then that would explain why. Maybe binding rear breaks?
