    Default Alloy Wheel Repair Kit

Has anybody used an alloy wheel repair kit on the GM wheels on our trucks? I had new tires put on today. Yesterday, I shopped around to try to find wheels that didn't have the corrosion my wheels had on them. My truck has 160,000 miles on it. Most of the damage appeared to be where wheel weights had been in the past. Every wheel I found had the same problem. Ebay has kits to repair this and I was wondering if anybody has tried this.

I never had to use the wheel repair proceedure.

I had the hammered on wheel weights removed in 2000 when I purchased my silverado. had the stick on weights installed.

when winter road chemicals are used I apply a silicone to the wheels . still look great. same with the side badging and the front plastic parts. [no pitting ]
