[QUOTE=SurrealOne;518065]Well, if you didn't regear it after putting those tires on it then OF COURSE it's a dog, now. (My 5.3 has plenty of low-end grunt ... thanks to a regear to 4.56 Nitro gears.) I only mention this so that @Armyboy doesn't mistake your lack of low-end grunt in the 5.3 for an engine limitation when it was probably a gearing issue that was later exacerbated by the addition of big tires. SurrealOne- I certainly wasnt intending on coming off sounding like a Chevy 1500 hater, I've owned several!!!!! But I was actually referring to the feel of the truck prior to the lift. The acceleration difference is so very clearly present between the 0-60 MPH for the 2500 verses the 1500 *stock. I think I just got used to the power of the 6.6 and then I stepped down to the 5.3. I do firmly believe that I wont be happy with my get-up-and-go until I regear. Hopefully next year I can get there, gotta make it through the holidays first!!

No argument from me on that. A stock 5.3 has no chance of developing the power of a stock 6.6. When I sold my 6.1L SRT8 and bought a 5.3L truck it took some getting used to, as well. I do miss 0-60 in 4.9 seconds from a stock vehicle ... but my truck keeps me out of speeding ticket trouble!
