    Default Paring brake indicator light.

Hello out there, I am new to this forum so here is some details.
I currently own a 2006 GMC Yukon SLT with the 5.3L.
My problems is the parking brake indicator light comes on intermediately along with the chime.
I have verified the parking brake itself and fully releases when needed( I always use the P/B, so seizing up is out of the question), the level of the fluid and have had the truck on a hoist at a friends garage to check for leaking lines or calipers. I have tried unplugging several of the braking system sensor but have had no luck figuring out this problem.
If anyone out there could point me the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I have filled out some info in my profile but have not had the chance to upload all the pics of my black beauty.

Welcome to the forum. It may be that the parking brake switch needs to be adjusted. You may be able to check it next time the light comes on by lifting the E brake pedal with your foot or just lightly depress it an eighth to a quarter inch to see if it is very sensitive to pedal position.

Thank you for the info. I have tried that exact testing method and the e-brake returns to its return position correctly.

I think what dpeter was suggesting, was not a check of the physcial return of the pedal, but a check to see if when returned, was there correct adjustment of the switch. Can you turn on the light by gently pushing the pedal a short distance.
