Need Help with a Noise on a 2000" Silverado
I have a 2000 silveado 4wd and it started making noise today. I started when I backed up and gets loader in first gear but starts to go away. I know my diff fluid needs changed but don't know if that is the problem, its a grinding noise and can I change the fluid myself?

Your'e gonna have to narrow that down a bit. My Yukon makes all kinds of noise, some expected and normal and some not. What kind of noise? Speed related? Load related? Front or back? Give us as much detail as you can, chances are someone here has heard something like it and will know what direction to send you in.
And yes you can change the gear oil yourself. Drain plug on the bottom and fill plug on the side but you may want to remove the cover and look inside for someting that shouldn't be there.2000 GMC YUKON SLT, 5.3L tow pkg, G80 rear/w 3.73 gear
