    Default '99 Tahoe Rough Shift

I've got a '99 Tahoe 5.7 with 108,000. I've started noticing that after driving for a while, (10-15 miles), at highway speed the transmission shifts really hard from 1st-2nd and 2nd-3rd until I shut it off for a bit and start off again, then it shifts just fine. No other problems. I checked the fluid and it's full and appears to be fine. (reddish color with no burnt smell) Any ideas? No check engine or service engine lights either. I'm stumped. I've put about 20000 miles on the truck since I bought it and I know it was serviced regularly. I do a little towing with it but only an aluminum boat and trailer. (about 1500 lbs.)

Sounds like a bad TCC apply valve. Do you have the SES light on? See if you have a P1870 (Trans Component Slipping) DTC. Sonnax has a replacement valve, spring and orings to cure the issue. Also cures sloppy TCC lockup. I'm guessing you have the 4L60E transmission.
