Default New owner of a 96 Chevrolet 1500. Lot of pics

Hello. I just bought myself a 1996 Chevrolet 1500 extended cab, Vortech 305, 2wd with 134,000 miles. Ive needed a truck for a while now. My father has a 2000 Ford Ranger but I was doing a number on its trans with towing cars. So I figured it was time to give up 1 of my 3 Pontiac Grand Prixs and buy something that will be useful. Looking forward to seeing what I can do the truck and see how it will turn out.

For being a Michigan truck its almost rust free. The bed is in great condition. Has new shocks, brakes, battery, and new great sounding exhaust. The owner said that the guy he bought it from had the engine replaced with a new engine about 3 years ago. Not sure it its true but it sounds and runs great. Only issue it has is the windshield has a cracked. For $3400 I think it was a steal.

Welcome to the G M T C! I had a '96 and put about 150M+ miles with only a water pump and manifold gasket (350R V8). Have fun!

Welcome to GMTC! Most trucks with that age have the lower cab corners rusted out due to the salt here in Michigan. Nice Find!
