Default 72 chevy reverse light housing removal

I recently bought a 72 project truck and am in the process of stripping it down. I'm currently trying to get the bed off, but I can't get the housing for the reverse lights to come off the wire. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Do you have a picture because it would help to visualize the issue.

Sounds good I'll try to look for a diagram.

Well I went to take pictures and I saw what looked like a relay or plug on the wire behind the tail light housing. I unplugged that and the reverse light came right out. Thanks for the try to help. Sorry I wasted your time.

Now we have the bed off and we have a whole new set of problems.
