04 Sierra hard start after fill up only
I've got an 04 Sierra 4.8L with 270 000km on it. It's got a check engine light on for an evap emissions code. It's had the vent relocation done at least 70 000km ago. Just had a tune up, air filter cleaned (K&N) MAF sensor looks clean. It runs a little rough at 1/4 tank and below, and is hard to start only first start after filling tank. when fueling it takes fuel no problem. After fueling It will turn over and catch immediately then stall (roughly .5 a second of cranking) then if i cycle key off, then back on and wait it takes a few seconds of cranking but will eventually start. Has anyone experienced this? It is only when filled and only recently started doing this. I've seen various posts on check valves and FPR's, I'd hate to change the pump assembly for no reason. Thanks in advance.

Probably a leaking evap purge solenoid. If its leaking it will dump fumes into the intake during fill up an cause a hard start. Hooked the one up on my alero backwards and caused the SAME problem u discribed because it wast holding pressure. There pretty cheap too and could be what is causing ur ses light.
