I live near Colorado Springs, Colorado. I am an Architect and Winged Sprint Car crewchief. My son and I race ASCS & NCRA winged 360 sprint cars. 360 is the max cubic inch displacement . The cars weigh 1,250 empty and have around 700 hp.

We pull our 40 foot 14' tall goosneck sprint car enclosed trailer with a low mileage 1989 GMC Topkick -Aerolite toterhome. The truck has 110,000 miles on it. We are the third owners and it has always been garaged. The truck has an 8.2 -230hp Detroit turbo V-8 diesel engine with a 6 speed stick and a 3.90/1 diff. We run a Snow performance water-methanol injection system. We weigh aproximately 32,000# gross when fully loaded. We haul two full sprint cars, one 400cc quad and a 1978 Fiat Spyder sports car + tools, tires, rims spare parts, etc. in the trailer.

We have raced from Missouri to Montana. We average about 1,500 miles round trip each race weekend. We plan additional upgrades to the truck to include an aftercooler and a 10 speed transmission.

Welcome to the club! I have a brother in Colorado springs. Haven't been there yet, but from pictures I have seen it looks like a nice area to live. I know there is at least one other top kick on the site who has done a lot to his truck, @Dirty Dog
