When it comes to spark plugs, I highly recommend using only AC Delco plugs.

When I got my truck it had the 100,000 mile "tune" and 100,000 mile platinum plugs. When I replaced them, I went with Bosch platinum 4's with the iridium tips and I guess I am fortunate because I have never had issues with them the 2 times I have replaced plugs since then.
I don't know why people have so much trouble with "Non-Delco" plugs.
