Default Turn AFM on or off?

I have a 2013 Silverado with ~2K miles on it.

I installed the Hypertech MaxEnergy tune. The unit I have has the ability to turn the AFM on or off. Has anyone done a study of what the mileage does when the AFM is turned off?

What percentage of AFM equipped engines have oil consumption issues?

Will turning off the AFM fix the oil consumption?

At this point in time (to the best of my knowledge) it is only theory. GM may know, but GM is not telling.

I don't know about oil consumption, but the truck drives a lot better with it off. I have an InTune in my truck and thats the first thing i did was turn the AFM off. Milage sucked before, and still sucks now, so I'm in the same boat..

But yeah, no clue about the oil.. Sorry..

also, are you burning oil after only 2K? or is this a preventative issue?
