Default License plate light not working, help before I get pulled over!!

My drivers side license plate light is out, passengers side still works fine. It is worth noting that I had an aftermarket white LED light in place of the OEM one. These bulbs burn out rather quickly, so I replaced it with a brand new aftermarket bulb. No reaction. I then replace it with a OEM bulb that I am 100 % is in good working condition and I still can't get it to work. So it looks like I am driving around with only one license plate bulb on until I get this fixed! Does anybody have any suggestions on what this might be.. some kind of shortage, perhaps?

Give me some tips before the police ding me on this!

    Thanks,

    Brett

Check the wiring and check your fuses. Could be a loose wire or a blown fuse. Either should be cheap and easy to fix.

I got stopped by a cop a couple of years ago because one of my LP lights was out. He just said "get it fixed" and sent me on my way.

Thanks man. It was just some loose wiring. I played with it a little bit and everything works fine now.
