    Default 2002 5.3 Suburban #8 spark plug help

    Ok man is that thing a beast to get to. I've done all the other 7 but is there a trick to getting to Mr 8?
    What do you have in your garage?

    You can get to it with the right socket arrangement. Try a plug socket, a short extension, a u-joint extension and a breaker bar.

    Others have removed the inner fender liner.

    I wouldn't use a u joint it can apply shear force to the plug and break it off.

    Problem solved, after trying 2 long extensions and a swivel I got upset and tossed on the 1 inch extension just because and bam!!!!!!!!! I feel foolish but my knuckles are busted badly, such a tight spot.

    lol, that one does stink to get to! But, in the whole scope of thinks is not to bad. A little patience and an small extension works wonders.
