Default Old body style wheel and tire swap

I am looking for new wheels for my 1994 1500 with 5 lug wheels
I am having trouble finding a rim I like in anything other that 15"
But the newer 6 lug wheels are cheep and everywhere plus I like the look.
My questions are about 5 to 6 lug adapters and the backspacing,
are these 2 piece billet adapters I find safe and will the 2" offset be enough to
compensate for the different back spacing.
I know I could buy new wheels in a 5 lug but cost is a factor, but not to the point
    of sacrificing my safety

@moogvo and I had a convo about this alittle while ago. It has some answers.... But not everything.
