    Default 2002 a/c actuator problem

2002 suburban blowing in the top defrost after replacing battery. Tech replaced battery now a/c blows on the defrost only. Actuator replaced will not reset. Changed head unit, same problem. Scan tool will power actuator, and read no counts from actuator. Has anyone run in to this. Tech is now measuring voltage and checking continuity of wires. Please help!

This is a very common problem when batteries are disconnected.

When it has happened to me, I disconnect and re-connect a couple of times (moving the HVAC control knobs and levers around) and it usually fixes it'self.

Sometimes, though, the actuator needs to be replaced. Sounds like you've tried this, maybe the new actuator is not installed correctly.
