Enkei- Ralph is trying to start a new fad, "redding" a truck out instead of blacking it out.
We disassembled the front coil overs, and painted and clearcoated them to match.
I painted Mighty Mouse with a PBR for a joke, and then he told me to leave it so we did lol!!
The toolbox took a lot of thought and time, he wanted something Pabst related so I searched and searched until I found a picture of 3 guys wearing uniforms almost civil war style. I wish it would have turned out better, but I did this freehand no stencils so It is what it is.

I bought a mini Colorado model, and we painted it to match and then some. I added flames to it, which Ralph's truck does not have. We just wanted this for something to put on the dash at a show.

The steering wheel cover got broken while removing the airbag, so we bought a new one and painted it to match.

After the engine swap non of the gauge cluster worked, so I decided to try a 2000 Camaro LS1 gauge cluster. I repinned the connector and the whole bit, It worked BUT none of the interior lights or exterior lights worked. Later I found out the BCM controlled all of the gauge cluster, so It was on to plan B. I bought a PLX OBD2 WIFI adapter, and an IPAD 1st gen with wifi only. I also purchased the Dash Command App from the Itunes store, total cost $150 adapter, $35.00 IPAD seat bolt mount, $250 IPAD, $50 App.

That app gives us everything and then some through the OBD2 port, only things It doesn't show are transmission temperature and A/F ratio. Other than that it is a simple solution, to a very serious problem.

I also bought a new GoPro Hero3 black edition kit from Summit Racing, $399.00 but this thing is frickin awesome!! I am still trying to figure out all the settings, but I will able to load some real nice videos of the truck once I do.

Thanks for the compliments guys, Alex I have been painting for 20+ years so I should be better lol!! But thank you..

I know these pictures are dark, but bear with me. I purchased an IPAD vehicle mount that uses the factory seat bracket bolt to hold it in place, it is 22" tall, swivels from portrait to landscape. $19.00 from Walmart, very well built surprisingly.

PLX device plugged into the OBD2 port, and the wiring harness routed behind the dash, the wifi part is mounted on top of the dash in plain view, as they expressed not to keep it covered by metal objects.
Some screen shots of our new "gauge cluster", very impressive considering it's all wireless and didn't require anymore wiring in the truck. I would highly recommend this as an option to any OBD2 engine swap vehicle, makes life easier.

Ha ha Enkei, all that I have done for this truck, you would think that it would at least cook and clean for me lol!!

Last week while we were working on the brake lines, we had the truck idling for about 10 minutes just checking it's vitals. Well one of the heater hose clamps cut a hole in the rubber hose, and it sprayed the whole engine bay down and smoked like mad! So after replacing the heater hoses AGAIN, I decided to try something other than the standard metal hose clamp. Allstar makes "power grip" hose clamps, Summit Racing carries them. The 5/8" clamps were $3.99 each, and the 3/4" clamps were $5.99 each. You slide them onto the hose, then align them where you would normally put a regular clamp. Then you take a heat gun, and just heat them up nice and hot. Then start the vehicle and let it get to operating temperature, they have been holding steady for 2 weeks now. They impressed me, we will be doing all the rubber hoses on the truck in this manner as well, much cleaner looking too.

I had to reroute some of the wiring on the intake manifold, to make this Zoops engine cover snap onto the fuel rails. Makes it look more sanitary, I also ordered a chrome oil cap for it along with the power steering cap which you can see both of them even with this big cover. Eventually I'm going to have this cover custom airbrushed, so It won't be so plain.

Before the new wheels and tires, the truck was leveled out. Well now it has the GM rake back in it, 1.5" higher in the back. So we are going to get the 2" coil spacers for the front to level it, so she'll be sitting even higher next year lol!!

The thread is officially up to date now, this week we are taking it to have the rear axle welded solid. Then there will be burnout videos to follow, Ralph is dying to use the line lock. I however am not looking forward to burning a set of $600.00 tires....

The front sway bar is stock, I haven't even thought about an upgrade for the front. As for the rear sway bar, we have the OEM TBSS sway bar that came with the rear axle. It is super beefy, there are plans to use it but we have to see how much it's going to cost to fabricate something to make it work. We are also going to buy a set of Caltracs for it as well, they eliminate wheel hop which I know is going to be bad on this truck.

This summer we are going to run with the rake, but eventually it will be leveled back out.

You might just need a longer end link for the rear..
