    Default 4.3L V6 tow capacity

    How much weight can the 4.3L V6 Vortec engine pull with a hitch? What is ideal, a loaded u-haul 6' x 12' Trailer?

    2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 2WD EXT Cab
    4.3L V6 Vortec, K&N Drop-In, Flowmaster Super 44,
    3" Exhaust tip, 22" Boss #331 Rims, Clifford 50.5x Alarm,
    Escalade Gauges, DJM Leveling Kit, Billet grill, All JL Audio Speakers,
    300XD MTX amp, Two 10" Alpine SWE-1042 subs

    On Chevrolets site it shows 10,500 lbs gross , I think that is the truck and the trailer?

    Ok thanks. I feel stupid for asking, but it is an important question. I'll hook up a U-haul trailer to my truck when I move off to College from AZ to OK. Nice RV Dan

    we realy like it those pictures befor we added the lamanit floor flat screen tv vcr/dvd player so i think i could realy say about 6000lbs..the 4.3 is agreat 6cyl motor this will be my 4th truck with the motor the olds bravada i had 200,000 miles on it when my son wrecked it...
