    I thought that you were the tech director for Autolite, At least that is what you said in your one other post on this forum. The site says nothing about filtration. It just states media size in Square inches and number of pleats. Plenty of people use fram and like them. I for one will not use fram. My truck came with an AC delco filter and that is what it gets replaced with. I will also not use Autolite plugs. I simply do not like them. It is just my personal preference. Nothing against the company.

    I used to work as tech director for FRAM, Prestone and Autolite and Bendix a while back as well. The company split form Bendix and now Autolite is going its own direction, so today I am the tech guy at FRAM and Prestone.

    Fram filters seem to get the "Internet Bash" as well as Bosch sparkplugs. That being said the Fram Tough Guard is a very good filter. And I have run Bosch sparkplugs in other vehciles without issue.

    River Ridge Louisiana-4 miles W of New Orleans-didn't flood-water stopped 800 yards away.


    Fram's better filters-the $8 ones at WalMart-are made in USA and Canada now.
    I use them-also use Mobil 1 filter

    The ill will toward frame extends back to some poor QC waaaay waaay back-maybe 20 plus years ago-some filter failures-forget details-but they were the lower end filters-and it was many many years ago
    It-the bad publicity-really has stuck-internet I guess-but my memory of the problem was maybe late 80's-early 90's-pre BIG INTERNET-

    Yeah shame FRAM still has to deal with it.Never had a problem with Fram
