    Default maf sensor upgrade

anyone updated their maf sensors to 2012 and newer mafs? iv got an 02 4.3 and i was thinking about swapping airbox tops and rewiring the connector as unnecessary to use a new style maf. wanted to know if anyone has done this and if there were any gains to be had.

no gains..and you'll throw off your programming, because those newer style MAF's are not calibrated for your vehicle/programming... the newer MAF's run at different parameters than what you need for yours...

no need to change it, won't gain you anything... stock MAF is good for 550/600hp anyway...
