Snow Day...

Well, I woke up this morning at 2:30am to get ready for work. I have to be at work by 4:15am. Well, I knew that they were calling for some snow, so I went outside and found about 3" of the white stuff. I called the local sheriff's department and they said that the roads were VERY slick and clangorous. The lady I spoke with asked me what I drove and I told her a 2wd pickup, she then said that I would not make it and to stay off the road. They advised me to call into work, so I did. We are under a winter storm warning until 3pm today, and we are expected to get up to 6"! I took some pictures of the snow. Enjoy!

Here's two more pics. The snow isn't very deep in my truck bed, but it measured 3" on my porch. I walked down my driveway to the road to see how slick it was, I stepped out onto the pavement and slipped and busted my arse!!! LOL... bet I won't do that again... LOL

That's awesome. I have a disappointed 3 year old becuase we live too far south to get any snow! My brother in law got like 5" of snow on Thursday.

Yeah, we had a little dusting a while back. Tennessee weather is weird, it was 70 here Thursday, I was outside in a short sleeve T shirt waxing my truck, now two days later it's covered in snow!!!

We don't get to see much snow here, and when we do it's usually late winter like now. It won't last long though, it's supposed to be up near 70 again here by Wednesday!!!

Well, I thought that I might get to go into work at 6:15, but the road here is so bad that there has been NO traffic on it at all, not even that salt truck or plow!!! It's coming down hard again, It's 5:36am here right now. Looks like I may get the whole day off...

I love how when there's the littlest bit of snow down there everything shuts down. Throw some weight in the back of that truck and you'll be all set! My 2wd truck handled 8 inches of snow and ice.
