    Default 16.5 Wheels

I found a set of 16.5 x 10 ( 8 lug ) Alcoa Wheels for sale cheap. I have stock wheels on my '97 2500 Suburban now with a 2" body lift. I have heard that 16.5 tires are getting hard to find. Should I pass on these ? Thanx

The 16.5's are becoming alot harder to find (a lot less selection) Try going onto tire manufacturer sites and it will show who makes tires in what rim sizes.
BFG still makes the all terrains in 33/12.5/16.5 (which should fit on your rig) and 35/12.5/16.5

Yes, from what I've been told. The tires are getting harder to find, and even more difficult is finding someone to mount them.

Aside from that, they would probably fit the truck, but the nut flare may be different - 32 new, proper thread, proper flare, lug nuts. I converted my '85 van to the "new" studs and nuts, and run the 16" alloys or steelies.

I'd wait for a more conventional size...

    Good luck,
