96"Suburban Transission Slippping in 3rd Gear??
hi y'all i am experiencing a transmission slip on the 3rd gear. i have a 96 1500 4x4 gas suburban . i took advice and did a transmission filter and fluid change in hopes of a fix. the slip improved but then went back to normal once i drove on the freeway and the truck warmed up. i need to let off the gas when the rpm goes above 3000 then it kicks into the fourth gear (It didn't do that before the filter change) but the 4th gear at 55 mph the rpms are at 4000 to 5000. i need help to fix it to get my truck to work.i have never swap a transmission before but i not afraid to do so..any info ,advice or any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Sorry that you're having trouble. I'm not a transmission guy so I can't help, but I wanted to take a moment to welcome you, here.
