Converting 4.3 to carb 350
Will i be able to utalize the pulley system of the 4.3 to the gen 1 350. Wanting to keep my A/C and all that. I like the serpine belt. Or do i need to order the pulley kit for the votec 350 and put in on the older 350?

The 4.3 is a 350 minus the number 3 and 6 cylinders. The 4.3 actually takes a bigger piston then the 305, it has the same bore size as a 350. 350 divided by 8 = 43.75 X 6 = 262.5 A 4.3 is a 262 . Bolt ups are all the same. I pulled everything off a 4.3 that's on my 350 right now because the previous owner had a carbureted accessory line on a TBI. It had a double serpentine/V-neck pully on both the balancer and water pump with mods to the altenator so it'd fit on the carb style brackets. I just took it all off, and installed what I had on my 90 that had a 4.394 Chevrolet K1500 4x4. 5.7L 350, 5-speed (AKA Betty) Or Rust Bucket...depends on if I'm mad at her.
