New tire insight needed
Welp it's about time for new tires... I'm looking at a couple different brands right now.

Any opinions or reviews on either of these tires?
Right now I have the stock 275-55-r20 Goodyear Eagle LS2s. I'm not a big fan of them at all. My 4.8l had no trouble spinning them in dry conditions, wet conditions were just scary.
Anybody have any experience with other brands?

The Hankook Ventus have awesome wear, we got almost 45,000 on them before we changed them out. We got caught in the rain one time with them, and the truck hydroplaned BAD. This was on a 2004 Colorado, they were 255/60/20.

That's not really what I want to hear... My eagle LS2s are some of the worst I've seen for hydroplaning. Another tire I've found is this. Any experience there?

Nope I've never had falken tires, I just bought new tires for my Colorado. Goodyear sr-a 275/60/20 for the front, and 305/60/20 for the rear. I've never run these either, but they cost me over $1,000 for the set of 4 threw tire rack so they better be good lol!

I'm trying to keep the total under $600 so that narrows my search quite a bit.

Did you check ebay out?? They have a lot of nice tires in that size, but your price range is going to make it hard. The original set of tires I wanted were $2,300 for a set of 4, so you see I go to drop drastically on my tires too. I would say If you bumped your budget up to $800, you would get into to nice tires for what you want.

Oh I'm not looking at anything outrageous. I don't have high expectations, I just don't want to die when it rains just a little bit. I'll never be driving in the snow extensively (Louisiana) so winter traction is no big deal. I'm not using them for a track day experience. I really don't care about ride volume either. My extended cab windows are loud enough on their own, what's a few more Db? I just want a reliable tire that won't hydroplane, will stick to a dry road too and not break the bank
I'll give Ebay a shot though. Never thought about it for tires...
