Thread: seat replacement under warranty?
02-28-2013, 01:14 PM #11
I had an issue with the both front seats in my wife's torrent. The passenger seat started tearing at a seam in the seat back at around 40,000 miles. They replaced that under warranty for us. Then at 50,000 miles we noticed a bunch of small cracks in the leather on the bolster of the driverside seat. They did not want to fix it. My brother happens to work for the company that makes the seats. I asked him about it and he said that unless my wife was 300lbs and using the car for delivery purposes then it should not have cracked. I went back to the dealer with a bunch of testing info and results in hand from the seat manufacturer. They put a new bottom on it that day.
