Default I'm new here and new to owning a Chevy!

    Hey everyone,
I'm Joe and I live in the sunny Florida. I recently bought my very first the other day! It a 1987 V10 Silverado 4x4 with a 350 under the hood.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this TBI fuel injection? Something is telling me to ke it out and put a carb on there.

Enkei I think he meant V10 as is R/V10 or a OOBS/Square body style.

    Welcome aboard.
I believe you'll find it's gonna cost a lot more than you want to spend to yank the TBI system out and replace it with a carb. It's not as easily done as that and maintain a proper running engine.
TBI is a pretty good system when properly serviced so I suspect your issue will be with previous maintenance.
I think if you go through the system, change the filter, and ensure everythings clean you'll find it to be a good system.

    Welcome to the club.

A TBI system will be more reliable and give better fuel economy than a carburetor.

    Welcome to the G M T C ! In '87 the 2wd were referred to as " R10 " and the 4wd was referred to as " V10 " like " CONLAN ROSE " as mentioned.
