Is there supposed to be something in the red circle? Looks like it should have a cover...

Looks like something for a cigarette lighter and some kind of tray. BTW how are you moving at about 60MPH when your engine is off and not driving??

I had a 2007 LS and it looked just like that. I think it's just a little cubby to put stuff.

ROFL, I saw that, too, and was going to comment!

As for what goes in that space, it's just a storage cubby. Consider that on vehicles with the full center console (like mine), the console extends from between the seats forward (all the way across the transmission hump) and mates with a different set of plastics in that region. However, they don't let it go to waste, as there's a pair of cubbies in the same location in said setup.

hard to tell, but maybe there is an option for an ASHTRAY ASSY that goes there? If you don't want that, maybe it came standard without it.

LOL, the gauge cluster has issues...speedometer needle doesn't move...at all, anytime. Cluster is actually out now and at DrSpeedometer.com getting fixed. Ashtray is actually the little pocket to the right of that "hole". Looks strange that it is open if it is supposed to be like that.

We have that same cubby on all of our fleet trucks at work that are your body style, it's just for storage. I use it to keep my master set of machinery keys.

No, you`re not missing anything there. It is a storage console. And there is an accessory power port for cell phones or whatever you want to plug in it.
