Squeaking from Transfer Case?
Hey everyone, gotta '93 4x4 K1500
My truck recently developed a squeak, it gets higher pitched as I drive and disappears over probably 30-35 mph
I jacked it up and spun the rear driveshaft and it seems like it's coming from the rear of the Transfer case, it sounds like a metal on metal squeak but i'm not sure, and turns into a chirp when I'm up to probably 25 mph. It also doesn't squeak when i'm in reverse.
I recently just filled the transfer case with fluid because it was almost dry. It still has a squeak, my question is, is it possibly the transfer case and the damage is already done? or is it something else and the low fluid was just a coincidence?
