Default Rear brake size on '99 Tahoe

How do you determine whether you have the 10" or 11" brakes on the rear of a '99 Thaoe? I know the easiest would be to take them apart and measure but I would "assume" there should be a way to tell without breaking them down first. Maybe VIN # or can you tell by measuring the outside diameter of the drum? Does anyone know? Thanks.

Even easier than measuring the drum is to find the max diameter that should be stamped on the drum. I can't off-hand remember where it was stamped into the drum, but you should be able to see it by pulling the wheel off. If the max diameter is ~11 inches, you have 11 inch brakes. About 10 inches and you have 10 inch brakes and so on.
