need help with a 1988 c1500 headlight upgrade
ok everyone, i hope i posted this in the right place. i have a 88 c1500. the problem is it has the four sealed beam headlights, and neither my wife or myself can see at night. at least not with these lights. is there a cheap upgrade for these small headlights? and if so what would b the best way to do so? thanks for your time. jeff1988 sportside c1500 72 buick skylark 88 toyota camry v6 daily driver

jcshipp - I have the 1989 K2500 with the same quad sealed beam headlights. I can't say that I'm having the same issue as you, but I do understand. Two of the lights are low beam and two of the lights are hi beam, and when you switch to hi beam the low beams go out, leaving only two headlights on at any given time.
There are two upgrades that can be done without major modifications that I know of.
First, purchase and install some clear driving lights (these are usually mounted on the bumper). These can be wired to come on with the low beam headlights, giving you four headlights on low.
Second, there is a kit available from LMC truck that modifies the headlight switch pattern so that when you switch over to hi beams, the low beams also stay on, giving you all four lights on at once for hi beams.
If anyone else has other suggestions, by all means please let me know.

You could always swap to clear composite lenses with the 4---hi mod and hid's... That would be your best route as far as visibility.
