GMC 2001 All time 4 WD jumping on sharp turns
The truck is a GMC 2001 Sierra C3. All time 4 WD. After a longer than normal drive, making U turns or even turning into a parking spot, the front end looks and feels like it's going to jump off the road. It acts like the slip mechanism is locked not letting the tires rotate at different revolutions because of the turn. Kind of like a Detroit locker on your front end.
I sure would appreciate an answer on this. Something tells me something bad is about to happen.

In the AWD trucks, the "slip" is in the transfer case. There is a clutch pack that "releases" when front drive is not required. Generally there is some clutch pressure at all times. This clutch pressure will send maybe 5% of the torque forward. It sounds like you are seeing more forward torque than you should.
I would try changing the t-case fluid, new fluid will have the additives that lets the clutch pack slip.Ray

Yes try the replace the t-case fluid first check for any abnormal amounts of sludge coming out or in the pan after its drained, the replace with an approved fluid, with the auto t-cases you need a special fluid for the clutches.
I belive this is the fluid you want for that T-case
