    Question Randomly won't start??

I'm having some starting issues with my 94 GMC k1500 - it starts fine most times but other times just won't. It cranks and sounds OK but won't run. I replaced the cap, rotor, plugs and wires last August, it has a new battery I put in last month. New fuel pump less than 30K ago, oil and coolant levels are good...can't figure this one out.
Could the starter be going? Would that cause that? My son tried starting it this AM and couldn't get it going but it fired up for me this afternoon. When it did it felt like it kind of hit a peak then started - picture you running up a hill you hit the crest and the downhill is easy. Hard to explain I guess.
Happens in any temperature even if it's plugged in.
    Ideas?
    Thanks!

if its cranking fine and running fine its not the starter or gas or spark
    any troubble codes?
sounds like an ignition imput sensor could be starting to go out. coolant temp, CPS, TPS, MAP sensor.... its hard to say
Gas was $1.83 when Obama took office.....

so what your saying with the hits a peak and then starts it it cranks hard at first then starts? it honestly could be your starter just because its cranking doesnt always mean your starter is good sometimes when the brushes inside are goin out it has enough to turn the motor but not enough to turn it fast enough to start it, and other times the vibration of cranking the motor with be enough to vibrate the brushes into the right place an bam start hits right and fires up (hard/slow cranking in the beginning then hit your peak and fire up). my suggestion would be to pull the starter and have it tested to see if its got the power its supposed to.
IF IT AINT BROKE DRIVE IT HARDER!!!!

Im having the same problem with my wifes 94 suburban 5.7 Every now and then when u turn the key it just click after about five or so tries it fires right up. The starter has no hesitation when it does start.
