Try it with the passenger door, might just be the door switch.

Opening any other door turns everything off. Where is the switch located?

Update: new speakers in and there is no chime so door switch? And if so how is that replaced?

Ext cab, 4 door or 2 door? It should be a rod somewhere in the jam either on the dash or by the door latch.

On an '04, it is probably inside the door, usually they are mounted on the door mechanical assembly behind the outside handle.
