Default Sucking noise from engine during light acceleration at freeway speeds

I have a 2011 suburban that has a sucking noise that comes from the engine during light acceleration at freeway speeds. Is sounds a little like the noise you would here if the air filter were removed from older car with a carburetor. The dealer technicians herd the noise and performed a smoke test, not sure what that is, and then clipped an old tech bulletin to the service record (Document ID 1580607 – whistle noise from throttle body area on light throttle acceleration…..) and said it is a normal noise characteristic. Hard to believe that technical bulletin from 2005 would be applicable to a 2011 model. Any thoughts?

Just like the Dr I'd get a second opinion, sucking noise isnt normal and could be an indication of a larger issue. If your sucking air into the intake past the airfilter why bother to have an airfilter.
