changed oil yesterday (puraltor pure one filter), rotated tires, checked front diff fluid level/color. A bit dirty but I'm not going to mess with it now. Sea foamed the intake manifold- actually didn't get much white smoke.
Had the gaskets to replace oil filter mount gasket, but decided I'll mess with that at next oil change. I think most of my oil is leaking from there.
Saturday replaced distributor cap and rotor. She's ready for the road.
Earlier in the week I replaced O2 sensors and air filter.
Fuel economy had taken a dive recently so I'm hoping that the O2 sensors, cap and rotor make difference. Checked plug wires by misting at night, and didn't see any mis-fires.

Added "new headlight housings" to the to-do list. Yesterday, I replaced my mom's oxidized headlight housings with some new ones on her 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. After installing them, I parked my truck and her car next to each other in the street (at night) to see how far out they should aim. What I really discovered is how dim and washed out my headlights are. Her new lights are very bright, clear and direct. Mine are pretty blah. My headlight housings don't appear oxidized but after comparing beams, mine need to be replaced.

Just got back from a 1600+ mile road trip with family to Yellowstone and Montana. I averaged over 17MPG with 5 people and the suburban loaded to the gills with gear, averaging about 75 MPH on the Interstate with very windy, hilly conditions. I was VERY happy. The O2 sensors and cap and rotor were definitely worth the investment. With over 200K miles on the beast she was awesome (though I did have a shock issue and the tranny shifted VERY hard for several miles in Yellowstone, but that went away).
