I have a 97 Jimmy that has lost both low and high beams. I initially thought it was the headlight switch as I could hear the the thermal overload clicking in it regardless of which lights I disconnected while troubleshooting. I then realized this is only happening when the ignition is turned to the run position. Any ideas? Thanks.

Are you having a hard time turning the ignition forward, or does it stick. Also check the plug end on the headlight switch to see if it's melted from the switch over heating. Hope this helps you out.
