Silicon In Used OIl Samples
Occasionally, those of us that do regular used oil sampling on stuff we run, have come across a spike in silicon in the sample. Usually associated with dirt contamination. I got this newsletter from my oil lab recently regarding this. This has some good information if anyone cares to take a read.
