Wow, we're back home and I'm beat tired. Total trip was like 11 days and 10 nights away from home, put on about 1800 miles, I'll get the total miles, fuel economy and all that later.
On the way back we ran into a multi-hour backup that was caused by an ethanol tanker flipping over just outside of Seminary, MS on US 49. Not to mention the backup before going under the tunnel on I-10 in Biloxi, we hit another backup outside of Jackson, MS as well on I-20 as they're doing some work.
We had planned to drive back straight yesterday, but we only got to Bosier City, LA.

Good to hear that Your trip was safe, driving-wise.
So sorry to hear about the misses incident on the boat.
Prayers sent for a speedy healing!
You didn't mention the 2 year old's outcome, so assuming the child is OK.
Kind of irresponsible on the part of the commercial boat captain, hope that You and the misses spoke a few words to the guy.
