Spark plug wire set for 1991 Chevy 350 5.7L
I'm still chasing my OBD code 42 issue on my 1991 Chevy Suburban with the 5.7L. One possible reason listed as to why the code is getting thrown is interference from the ignition wires. Also, I am very tired of "custom fit" pre-made spark plug wires from the auto parts store that are way too long. Because of excessively long spark plug wires, I had 2 get burned through years ago which caused my transmission to fail. So, I want to custom-make my plug wires to fit and I will be using a pair of wire retainers that firmly hold the wires the length of the valve covers.
So, I want to use a set of build-your-own MSD or Accel plug wires that are high performance. I don't have HEI and the boots at the plug side are 90*. Does anyone have specific part number suggestions for me to use? When I look at all the choices, other than thicker conductors being better, I don't know what I'm looking at. Thanks for the help.Christopher
